Embracing the Magic: Rediscovering Wonder Through a Child’s Eyes

CHILDREN SEE MAGIC BECAUSE THEY LOOK FOR IT.

Christopher Moore

We all start our lives full of wonder and curiosity. Even tiny creatures like ants can amaze us and make us feel amazed. Children easily see the world as magical because they actively look for it in their surroundings. They naturally notice the enchanting experiences around them every day. But as we get older, we often lose this natural ability to see the world in such a special way, through the eyes of a child.

The responsibilities of being an adult can make us miss the magic that still exists in everyday life. We often get caught up in the complexities and challenges of adult life, but seeing things through the eyes of a child can be so refreshing. The world we leave for the next generation is deeply impacted by our actions and choices today. Embracing the positivity and joy that children naturally exude can inspire us to focus on the good in the world. It’s a beautiful reminder to appreciate the little things, find joy in simple moments, and prioritize kindness and compassion. Wouldn’t you agree?

When I approach a child, he inspires in me two sentiments — tenderness for what he is and respect for what he may become.
